TWO
of WANDS
This is a card of…
Setting ones sights on a goal
Focus
Energy
Optimism
Commitment
“People are not lazy, they simply have impotent goals..that is..goals that do not inspire them..”
-Anthony Robbins
In the two the drive and ambition of the suit sets its sights on a goal. The impulse to conquer unknown territory is indicated by this card, as well as beginning with the end in mind.
The 2 of Wands is an exhilarating time, when it feels like the spark of desire has reached out to its object and received back an image of success so real we can almost taste it. Think big and full speed ahead.
That connection to the goal creates tremendous energy and optimism. At this stage even the planning of details that would ordinarily be tedious is a bit thrilling. We’re not just fired up to go somewhere, we know exactly where we want to be. It’s a heady feeling to realize what you want.
The Deuces have to do with connection, this card is also about connections that can help us get ahead and making ‘friends in high places.’
There will be lots of struggles to come, as with any achievement. But the fiery, focused energy of the Two of Wands is great launching pad.

Meditations/ Questions for a Two of Wands Day
Is there a place you’ve always wanted to travel? Can you see a path to get there?
Have you ever been so fired up to accomplish something that it felt like your will moved obstacles?
What in your life is the achievement you are most proud of? What do you see in your future that might give you the same feeling?
Desire can lead people to do foolish things, but living without desire is a terrible existence.
