The King of Swords wears his authority and responsibility comfortably. He’s always believed he was cut out for this sort of position. And he’s not wrong. Detachment, logic, and a cool sense of judgement are great qualities in a leader. If taken to negative extremes, though, they can become a cold arrogance.

Either way, this King isn’t too worried about what others think of him. There is an ideal of leadership he strives to meet, and it has nothing to do with being popular or even liked at all. Efficiency, results, and proper conduct are his metrics for performance.

He has a deep sense of fairness and morality, but he knows the most fair solution often leaves both sides dissatisfied. He undertakes conflict or combat (the King of Swords is often a military figure) with calculated strategizing, and will be ruthless if that’s what’s needed. Sometimes the sparring is verbal, in courts of law or on the political stage. His style is sharp and quick, he has a concise and cogent way with words.
